Olympic football tournament (women)
The women's Olympic football tournament is held since 1996.
Other than in the men's tournament, all adult athletes are allowed to play for their country.
Therefore, the Olympic tournament is as important as the World Championship.
The US is the most successful team to this day, winning two gold and one silver medal. Norway has won one gold medal.
